SAN CLEMENTE, CA (April 28th, 2017) – For Memorial Day Sunday, OC Contemporary Gallery hosted their first event in partnership with a local environmental organization for a good cause. Global Environmental Legacy Foundation (GELF) is working hard to “create environmental systems that address complex pollution issues,” and the Gallery was honored to be a part of that journey.
The Gallery welcomed a variety of people at the event who enjoyed food catered by Cafe Rae and Jimmy’s Catering, as well as music by a local San Clemente band and of course, beautiful art. In an effort to support GELF’s initiative, some of the artwork by OCCG’s house artists, as well as guest artists, was entered into silent auction, and several pieces sold.
The Silent Auction featured works by House Artists Jordan Christian, Thomas Elliot, Larry Beard, REX and Brian McCracken. There were also works featured by a few guest artists who wanted to contribute to the event and cause: street artist Bandit, resin artist Jason Arbizu and plein air artist Rick J. Delanty. All of the art was a hit amongst the guests, and the event was a great success in general.
OC Contemporary Gallery has proven to be an ideal space to host events. The structure itself is a piece of artwork, full of character and beauty. It inspires all who occupy its walls as well as the outdoor courtyard and patio, which are adorned with some of nature’s finest artwork. Contact the Gallery to reserve this unique space for your next corporate or private event.
OC Contemporary Gallery is located at 1509 N El Camino Real, open Wednesday through Saturday from 12-6pm, and by appointment at 888-948-0086. With an international presence online as well, it sells and rents original art, high-end secondary market works, photography, and sculpture.
